Alan Jara Freed!
Alen Jara, former governor of Colombia's Meta state, was freed this afternoon, after a Marxist rebel group freed him. He was waving and taxied to to his wife and son, who were waiting to see him. He was origonally kidnapped in 2001. FARC also released 3 police officers and one soldier with Alen. Colombian Sen. Piedad Cordoba brokered the releases.
Now i want your opinoin on how to prevent other politically motivated abductions. Feel free to give analogies to other similar situaciones. Thank you!
