Thin Mints and office politics |
Thin Mints and Office politics
As a girl scout leader I would correct the boss on his/her motivation for helping the daughter sell the cookies.
As a mom and a leader the area my daughter's troop in has 615 girls in a 4 mile radius, so selling at the office if management allows it is OK, IF the girl scout has a part in it. My daughter helped write a letter to my fellow co-workers stating what teh troop was going to do with teh money earned and the cause they had chosen to support by sending them cookies (Military in war zones).
My daughter also sold face to face at church and the local fire house as door to door is nto safe for her since we have no sidewalks.
If teh sell is casual (sitting in the break room, and casual conversation) I do not see the harm in selling in an office environment.
