New Building on fine in Beijing CBD

I tried to upload this on iReport but it took so long and then crashed, I am going to e-mail you.

Chinese new year has been going on with fireworks since mid-January but tonight is abolsutely crazy!
At 20.50 (local time) tonight my husband spotted something odd, more than a firework from our 36-floor apartment in Beijing near the East 3rd Ring Road (in a comples called Central Park).
It was a brand new building on fire. It's the building on the East 3rd Ring Road right next to the famous Rem Koolhaas building.
I started taking pics immediately and have about 50 of them.
    Here are 10 of them.
Only at 21.30 did I first hear sirens. I'm pretty sure this was caused by fireworks as we were just admiring the very high ones from our window that we saw explode in the exact same place where the fire started only minutes afterwards.
Now it's 22.00 and the fireworks are just as loud as ever (36-floors below, that is). To give you an idea, my TV's on full-blast and I still can't really hear it!

I cannot find any news of this fire on-line, so thought you should know asap!
    All the best,
    Elisabeth Koch
