President Obama’s Video Message Causes Questions?

I, as many other supporters watched a video of President Obama speaking directly to Americans about the need for immediate action on the economy. As a supporter of President Obama, I of course got the same email message as others have at http://my.barackobama.com/recoveryvideo. It was as expected but one simple statement by Obama caused me great concern! Obama said: As soon as this plan is signed into law, recovery.gov goes live, and you’ll be able to see precisely where your tax dollars are going, because this is your democracy, and as I said throughout the campaign, change never begins from the top down. It begins from the bottom up. Now I love the ideal of Obama’s transparency promise to post the used of funds, but what I would like to see on his planned web site is our leaders who currently support the project and why, along with leaders who do not support and why? As well as those who have added pet projects to get their vote! To me transparency is upfront and now, not after the project is approved! Why can we not have all the facts now? We have all seen in the last few years such a misuse of our money one has to ask, what is being covered up now? Our government has handed out billions to banks in an effort to boost their bottom lines and yet top executives of the same banks got over $1 billion in combined salaries and benefits! Now considering the staggering fact that the amounts given to executives would have covered the bailout cost of 46 percent of the banks that received out tax dollars! The sad fact is this is not the only issue of our governments misuse of tax payers money! What are your thoughts? Share them now before it’s to late with your government leaders and most importantly with President Obama by going to http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/, by calling 202-456-1111 with your comments, by faxing your comments at 202-456-2461 or you can even send a letter to The White House at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20500.
