Wedding jitters |
Taking a trek for our wedding
My fiancee and I were beginning to plan a big wedding in the mountains of Colorado when reality (a.k.a. STRESS) hit. We were trying to figure out a way to afford the wedding (without the help of family) and a honeymoon. We have decided to combine the 2 and get married on our honeymoon. I know this is not uncommon, however our plan is to hit the mountains of Europe for 3 weeks of backpacking and camping. This will include a very non-traditional wedding "ceremony" wearing our fanciest hiking gear and performed by a local. This allows us the ability to have a longer honeymoon and use all of our resources towards our dream vacation as opposed to a one-day, stress-filled, "nobody's going to remember it anyway" wedding ceremony.
