How we first met[1] |
Falling for Jabba The Hut
We met each other on the telephone. It was a business call. We had worked together in a large organization and were a few blocks away geographically. We'd never seen each other before. We ended up on the phone by chance one afternoon and were chatting for quite some time. I can't tell you why exactly but I fell "head over heels" in love with him within about two minutes on the phone. He agrees. He fell in love with me as well. I had really given myself a very hard time for being such a ditz. I had thought to myself "you idiot, he could look like Jabba the Hut and you, dingbat, are falling in love with a man you have never even seen before". It ended up being a few more days before we met face to face. It was too late though we were both madly in love with each other. When we finally layed eyes on each other it was magical, electrical and just amazing. He was handsome beyond description. He still is. He was hot! That was over twenty years ago. Its still magical, electrical and amazing. We sometimes recount that story and we both are truly bewildered that we both fell so passionately in love over the telephone. There's a good phone advertisement for ya!
Our first touch was a whole new adventure that happened many weeks later. Its something etched in my memory and we both will never forget that first instant when our fingers first touched, even before the kiss. It was just unbelievable that touching fingers could be so exhilarating. The kiss was a melting experience really. We just melted into each others lips. We still do.
Happy Valentines! May you experience electricity, magic and melting this day.
