US EMBASSY Contractors workers on strike in Abuja, Nigeria
Dynamic Corporation a USA based company out of Hyattsville, MD has refused to pay there American and local workers since December 2008. Dynamic Corporation is the contractor in which the American State Department have assigned the construction of the NOX building which is a part of the US Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria. Ebenezer Adewunmi the president/CEO has not responded to telephone calls or replies from local vendors in the States in which he already owes. The local workers have been on strike since February 7th, 2009 and have been protesting for pay since. The local workers are pleading for the US Government to intervene because their families are in desperate needs at this moment for financial help. The local workers have complained about taxes in which Dynamic Corporation cut monthly out of their pay is not reported to the Nigerian Tax Revenue Office. Some workers have gone to the Nigerian Tax Revenue Office to confirm that their taxes was paid and no such documents exist for them. Now they are leaning to the American Government on answers of possible embezzlement from Dynamic Corporation.
