This iReport is part of an assignment:
Surviving a tough economy |
Goodbye Goody's
One of Goody's Family Clothing stores located in Riverside Shopping Center displays 60-80 percent off all merchandise along with a going out of business banner.
The 59 year old retailer couldn't survive pressures from the credit crisis or merchandise flows. The lack of consumer confidence and belt tightening from markets caused Goody's to close this store forever!
Shoppers were taking advantage of the huge savings before all 287 stores are liquidated. Goody's stores spanned through 20 Midwestern and Southern states. They will be missed. God Bless!
