This iReport is part of an assignment:
'Staycation' all you've ever wanted? |
Camping
Although my husband and I did not grow up camping, we discovered that it is truly an enjoyable and affordable way to vacation with the family. In fact, we made this discovery in our own small town! Several times during the spring, summer and fall we would pack up on a Friday after work and head, oh, about 2 miles to a gorgeous wooded lakeside campground, set up our little pop-up camper in a quiet wooded site along the water and be completely in vacation mode within a matter of an hour!! Sure, our home state of New Hampshire has many beautiful areas to camp, but when you are out kayaking at dusk or enjoying a glass of wine by a crackling campfire it really does not seem to matter that you never left town!
