    How we first met[1]

Love at First Sight (for one of us)

The first day of  school, the year was 1998.  My mother had just re-married and we moved across town.  I was attending my senior year of high-school somewhere new.  As I am meeting people throughout the day, I find myself in the last class of the day, yearbook.  I look across the room and this incredibly handsome man with the most charming smile and I decide I should introduce myself to him.  As I walk over and polity tell him I am new and my name is Kelli, he looks at me and tells me that I am not his friend and informs me not to speak to him again.  I knew at that moment that this guy was different.  He would never just give in to me and put up with my crap.  I went home that day and told my mother that I found the man I was going to marry.  I even put a picture of him from the yearbook up on the refrigerator  that day.  As the year passed, we spoke in class every day.  I would even go into his work to buy CD's on the weekends just to see this boy.  After graduation that year, I thought I would never see him again.  A month into summer, I called his house and left a message.  A month later, I received a cal back along with and invite to dinner.  Less than a year later, I was married to Nick.  My love at first sight and 8 years later, I am the happiest woman in the world.
