TWO Power Words for Children
On January 26, 2009, I spoke to 143 sixth graders at a Ivy Prep Academy in Georgia on the topic of:
The Power of Words.
It was 8 am in the morning when my presentation started and by 8:35, I had their FULL attention. I've asked myself "Why?" Why does this topic pull so many heart strings? Answer: Those of us who have been verbally abused or who have verbally abused others know that this epidemic needs attention.
With that being said, I implore ANY positive person with a kind spirit to describe a child, your child, one child with TWO uplifting or endearing words. For example, when I think of my daughter, I write:
My Gift....
Fast Fanny.....
Beautiful Eyes.....
Brilliant Mind......
Strong-willed Leader......
Future President.....
My Princess.......
My Luckycharm......
PLEASE ADD to this list for YOUR child or ANY child with just TWO words...two constructive words. Let's show them that there are people out there that cheer for them.
After all, they are our future. Let's encourage them.
