    Job Eliminated, Now Self-Employed Photographer

At the beginning of the year my full time product marketing job was eliminated. As a marketing professional, I have been using my photography skills to sell products for over a decade. In 2007 I started offering wedding photography on the weekends, as my main job was Monday to Friday. It is real bummer to loose the full time job but it creates an opportunity to build my own business. I must say that the stress of working mostly at home is much less than it was working at a busy office where I never seemed to be able to keep up with the work load. Fortunately the only debt we have is our home mortgage. My wife allready works out of the home doing medical transcription, so now we work together at home. We don’t live an extravagant life style so just a bit of work is all we need to live comfortably. With the increase in time, I have had to work on my photos and web site http://www.ChrisGeigerPhoto.com is growing. I have been receiving a small but steady stream of wedding bookings. My plan is to keep working at building my business and I am hoping that the economy starts to turn around sometime in 2010.
