This iReport is part of an assignment:
Light Years: Your views of space and stars |
Fireball in sky
The attached image is not mine, it is one I found on internet similiar to what I saw. I atatched it becaus eit is required to get my report to go through.
I have been trying to find information confirming others saw what I saw today streaking across the sky of my home town. I saw a bright organge fireball. It did not have a firey trail like the one in the pick. The balkl was orange and the tail was smoke.
I was traveling West on Hwy 31 on my way to shop at Wal-Mart when I saw the fireball streak across the sky. Back at home my husband reported a huge percussion (sonic boom?) that shook the windows.
I was driving and frankly too startled to think to get a picture with my cell phone, and it streaked across so quickly I would not have got a shot anyway.
So are there any other reports of this event I am curious to know what has landed near my home. Meteor? Satellite debris? If it were little green men, they were ashes before they landed!
