Staycation in Houston
Is Houston a staycation spot? So, a city I have lived in for 28 years is now a vacation spot for me. I decided to stay in my home town last week and visit some sights and sounds that I never been to before. The first spot I went to was the Houston Zoo. The Zoo surprised me with an array of wild animals in the middle of metropolitan city. The Zoo setup some great shots for photos. The next day I adventured out to the Natural Museum of Science. I viewed the Leonardo Da Vinci and Lucy Legacy exhibits with a stop by the Cockrell Butterfly center. I went next day to Galveston which is only about 45 minutes from Houston and went to Moody Gardens. At Moody Gardens, I went to see the Aquarium and Rainforest Pyramids. Lastly, I ended my week with Houston's annual Art Car Parade near downtown. I guess you never know what you find in your own backyard.
