    Phelps suspended

Michael Phelps smoking pot? So what!

I know this is controversial, but maybe we should revisit legalizing marijuana. Facts say that we now pay more tax dollars than ever on putting people behind bars for petty crimes such as possession

(small amounts) or using Earth made Drugs, such as marijuana. Those tax payer dollars would be better spent on keeping real bad sex offenders, murderers and batterers behind bars. It would certainly help to keep over population of prisons better in check.*

We also know that today, marijuana is no more of a “gateway drug” then alcohol is. Did Michael go out and commit any violent crimes? Sexually assault anyone? No he didn’t and neither do many marijuana users.*

In fact, if we legalize it, it will lower tax dollars spent, but can we raise money on it as well? Yes, Government or “FDA” can oversee it much like the alcohol industry. We can use the same guidelines

as alcohol and put in a box like cigarettes and tax it, thus raising money. Why Not, its time for modernization for old out dated laws anyways.
