This iReport is part of an assignment:
Are you making a difference? |
International Ambassador for Jesus Christ
None of this is to any credit of mine, but all to the credit of Jesus Christ.
For two years now, I have been involved in ministry to internationals at my school. By loving those that usually Americans do not reach out to, I can be the hands & feet of God. I can show nations who God REALLY is - a God of love - in my own backyard. I can change nations by showing Christ's love right here & now, as they come to my school.
This year, I will be going to South Korea to teach English & work in a local church. My main goal is to tell others about the love & hope of Jesus Christ.
It's not a religion, it's a relationship; Christianity is different from any other religion in that it is about one man: Jesus Christ. Take away Jesus from Christianity, & it is empty, meaningless & has no foundation. Take away Buddha, Muhammad, & one or all of the 3 million Hindu gods from the religions they represent, & the following is still there: Be good to others, work hard for salavtion, & MAYBE you will have eternal life. With Christianity, salvation is a 100% guarantee through Jesus Christ & His work on the cross! Some people who claim to know Christ have LOST that idea & are preaching fire & brimstone. This is not the way to salvation in a person's heart or soul.
John 14:6 says, "I am the Way, the Truth, & the Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me."
John 3:16 - 18 says, "For God so loved the WORLD that He gave His only begotten Son, so that whosoever shall believe in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son to CONDEMN the world, but to SAVE them..."
If we want to see REAL change in our lives, the way to do that is by sharing the love of Christ with them. That's the only way that we will see lasting change, peace, & hope in this lost, devestating, confusing world.
