'Staycation' all you've ever wanted? |
Staycation in Oklahoma
2 years ago my husband and I figured out we could have much more "vacation" if we stayed close to home. So we set out to find a place on a lake within one hour and 30 minutes from our house. We found it-the picture shows you just one of the many beautiful sunsets we enjoy at our "other house" which is in a small town in Oklahoma. Two vacations a year exceed the cost of our little slice of heaven in southern oklahoma. We get to go "staycation" almost every other weekend so we have more "vacation" than ever!
Outside of tornados, which really are rare, the weather is great and we can be on the lake for 7-8 months of the year.
Oh yes, and along with the lake comes a National Park which is part of what we look over when we see the sunset.
(Oklahoma has more shoreline than any state-no ocean, all lakes)
