I am a pharmacist in the state of Florida. Yesterday a young girl came into the pharmacy,  handed me her drug card a CMS sponsored medicare plan  and we then began to  fill her prescription. After no success at getting the card to work we decided to call her provider.After being on the phone for almost forty minutes transferred around and around with no resolution I noticed the call was a little unusual so I decided to ask were the call was transferred. I was informed a foreign country (I was told the name of the country but it is not important) .The call center was not able to resolve the situation and the girl left crying and if not resolved will be in the hospital. Is it in the best Interest of US citizens receiving  Government sponsored medical services having there benefits under the control of someone in a foreign country just so a CEO can get a bigger bonus???My experience says this is a threat to public safety.
