    Not Even A 99 Cent Store is Safe- Out of Business!!!

    This is a photo I took for the Closing Soon post. A year ago there were three 99 cent stores in a 3 block span along 14th Street in Manhattan- now they're all gone. Outsted due to raising rents, a slow economy, and more upscale kind of retail shops taking their space. If you want to buy a $700 pair of shoes you have plenty of places to choose from, but anything 99 cents? That's another story.
