A couple of swans stuck
A couple of swans stuck in the lake, in the Aclimação Lake in Brazil ◘ Photo by Vinicius Pereira ◘
The lake of the Aclimação Park, one of the most traditional in the city of São Paulo (Brazil), dried after its spillway (sort of the water pipe that separated the lake from a gallery underground) is broken in the evening of Monday. Most fish and other animals that were in site were drained for the gallery that ends in Rio Tamanduateí, along with 78 thousand cubic meters of water. Few survived.
Species lived in the lake: fish, turtles, and birds.
A couple of black swans were stuck in the lake, away from margins (photo). Firefighters are working in their rescue.
Most of species were drained with the water. The fish and animals that were saved by neighbors or firefighters will be taken to the Ibirapuera Park.
