Georgia-Russia conflict |
A Nation of Followers
Are we a nation of followers? Without thought or opinion of our own? Do we verbally recycle what we hear as though it is the word of God?
I have watched lately, as some people in the media have started to discredit the new President. They call it "Buyers Remorse". And people of this country seem to buy into the spectacle. Well I am tired of it. They have done it to every president for as long as I have been observing politics.
President Carter -He was made out to look like he was incapable of running this nation. As though the entire hostage situation was his fault. And oh the praise they heaped on Pres. Reagan.
President Reagan -He started out looking like a savior. But then we all were made aware of "Reaganomics". When he left the White House it continued with Pres. H. W. Bush
President George H. W. Bush- He was Reagan jr. Blah, Blah, Blah.
President Clinton- They (the media) tried to aide in the impeachment this President. Even though he when he left office we had peace and prosperity.
President George W. Bush- The war and the recession. Now in general I do not think he was a good President. But that doesn't mean he was a bad man. If he was less of an honorable man he would have planted "WMD"s in Iraq. He instead admitted his error. How many other people would have done that? And for that matter, how differently would we have looked at him if he had planted them. Staged a militay discovery of the supposive WMD's? Would we hail him as a hero for keeping us safe from "Nuclear War"?
Now they are already starting on President Obama.
So wake up people. Grow a pair, and form your own opinions. Stop waiting to be told what to think!!!!!
