Wildfires blazing near you |
Bushfire - Update
Monday 23 Feb 2009 and Upwey is on fire. Milder Temps but moderate breezes help fan the fire towards Belgrave South. A mirror image of Ash Wednesday.
The atmosphere is surreal and the mood uneasy, what will the coming hours bring. Sit tight and wait or leave is on everybody's mind. A decision hampered by the scenery in front of ones eyes.
How does one process the events before our eyes? How do you explain natures fury before you ?
The CFA make yet another valiant attempt to stop a catastrophy in its tracks, well prepared CFA troops and aerial support from "elvis" make for a successful campain. One victory in an never ending summer season.
Pray for rain and winter.
