    My favorite Futurama Episode

I know this isn’t a contest between Simpsons and Futurama but I prefer Futurama over Simpsons anymore.  Don’t get me wrong, I watched the first 8-9 seasons of the Simpsons religioulsy, but about the time Futurama came out was when I thought the Simpsons started going down the tube, maybe it was not a coincidence.  I’ve watched Futurama from its early days on Fox Sunday nights.

My favorite episode of Futurama is the episode called "Jurassic Bark". Fry finds the fossil remains of his dog from 1999 and the professor can clone him. Throughout the show it has flashbacks of 1999 of Fry and his dog and they sing/bark the song "Walking on Sunshine" a lot. And Fry is just so happy that he is going to be able to get his dog back but right as the professor is going to start the cloning, Fry stops it because he learns from the cloning machine how old his dog was when he died. The dog lived another 10 years or something after Fry dissapeared from being frozen and thinks that his dog would not remember him. It then cuts back to the day Fry was frozen. He walks into the pizza parlor where he worked and told the dog to wait from him there til he was finished with work. Well obviously Fry never came out and the dog lays in front of the door waiting for him and as he is waiting they show him aging and it plays this really sad song until finally the dog closes his eyes.

It's so sad if you are an animal lover.  Gets me every time.
