What's next for U.S. troops in Iraq? |
WELCOME HOME...THE FEELING...
Believe it or not when i served, i was the one that took the loved ones away. It was so hard, as sometimes i even shipped my own husband out to duty. The sounds on the pier or at the airport... the base... it was horrible and you could hear these cries and wales from a good 2 miles out... you sweat and you can not say good bye, you say come back soon or come back with honor; you can not say it enough or I love you loud enough. You can not say goodbye, because it may be a good bye, in fear of jinxing your loved one or others. Let me say I love you again... just incase it was doubted...
You knew what it was, you knew what you were about to do... Your stomach would turn and the emotional wave would rip you into.... God, Thank you for putting sense in this president and bringing our troops home. The sounds on the peirs and the airport... I know them too, and i can almost cry of that feeling, I know that feeling...The wave of "BREATH" that breath of yes! and omg! and THANK YOU ... all at once none before the other...
That emotion of I love them and now i have to get to know them again... that "i left the cristmas tree up and never took it down", that .... Yes, he is here in front of me... or when my stepfather returned, lets hury to the hospital to see your son, he is stable. The holding, the holding does not stop for fear someoen will change their mind! you touch and just touch and touch and still more just let me touch you. You are scared to blink, if you blink what if its a dream, if you sleep what if you wake up to another reality.... You don't sleep, you rather pass out from exhaution, than let your self relax.
WELCOME HOME WELCOME BACK AND THANK YOU. IF YOU NEED ME I WILL ASSIST YOU, IF YOU NEED TO VENT I WILL LISTEN, I MAY NOT GRASP 100% OF IT , I WILL GET 75% OF IT.
YOU DID YOUR DUTY YOU FOLLOWED THE ORDERS, YOU CAN COME HOME!!!
To my husband, forgive me for posting your picture, i am so proud of you and others, and i never regret the day i met you in bootcamp.
don't worry folks we followed the rules!!!!
