This iReport is part of an assignment:
Wintry weather |
Snow in Loganville Georgia
These are pictures taken outside of my house in Loganville, GA.
It was in the 60s here yesterday, so I personally did not expect to wake up in snow!
The snow is expected to continue to fall throughout the rest of today. As much as 3 inches are expected to fall on Walton County.
There is no information as far as school closings are concerned. Schools in Georgia do close down for as little as an inch of snow, so it is very possible.
There have been reports of places west of us, closer to Atlanta, getting reports of thundersnow. This is when snow fall is combined with thunder and lightning. This can be very dangerous, so do not go out if you hear thunder.
I am about to go out and take some pictures throughout the city of Loganville, so I will have a follow up later.
Until then if you are around the area stay warm and be safe!
