This iReport is part of an assignment:
Paul Harvey dies: Your memories |
Paul Harvey
When I was six years old in1976 I got a red Sears transistor am radio. The first person I heard when I turned it on was Paul Harvey. His calm demeanor and soothing voice made things understandable, and comforting.
Through out my childhood on those summer days I would listen patiently waiting on Paul Harvey to tell whatever story he had for the day.
I always thought of the gentleman as a grandfather, even though I never met him....what a gift he had. He'll truly be missed.
What do you think of this story?
