This iReport is part of an assignment:
Paul Harvey dies: Your memories
And now you know .......the rest of the story
Paul Harvey, a voice on the radio twice a day, giving North Americans a history lesson. I learned much from Mr. Harvey over the years. Sometimes useless trivia, sometimes information that I stored and used later on. I grew up listening to Paul Harvey on the radio. I remember my parents shshing me when he came on. And I shushed my kids when he came on as well. It became a family tradition to listen to And Now You Know.......The Rest of the Story.
In the last couple of years I also listened to him give the news. On page one......page two and so on. His voice was a comforting one to listen to. He commanded a person, to listen. For he had something to say. With his pregnant pauses, he knew how to capture your attention.
May you R.I.P. Mr. Paul Harvey, and may your legacy continue with reruns of And Now You Know......
