This iReport is part of an assignment:
Gulf War illness |
Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Desert Sick...
If 100,000 troops had dropped dead in Kuwait there would be an answer why. 100000 getting sick no seems to care.
I was an M1A1 armored crewman, D-Co 3-67 Armor, 2nd Armored Division. We rolled right into Kuwait City and parked on The Highway of Death. I have great pride in what we did over in Kuwait and I was decorated for "gallentry under enemy fire".
However, I'm so sick that I can't hold a job and I feel wrong for applying because I know I'll be getting sick before to long and wont be able to perform the task at hand.
I don't want a hand out, but my wife and baby deserve better and our vets deserve better.
We did what was asked of us, and now all we ask is for answers.
Thank You.
