Would you walk away? |

A few of you have asked How I got this way and what I'm doing to change my life.
I'm unable to find a place to live in my small rural town.
I don't want to up root my children and my wife has a job that is in this area.
For now we wait and hope that something changes
I want to fight to keep my home and fight I will..
This is copy of the letter I sent to US Bank to work out my mortgage and got no reply...<
To: Anyone Who Will Listen
I’m trying to understand why a bank such as yourself, would
rather allow a perfect stranger to purchase my home from, you for 20% - 30% of
what we owe. , when you will only allow me a reduction of $50.00 off of my
present mortgage. I fully understand my
financial situation and know that I have to make changes in my life and life
style. What I don’t understand is what
perfect strangers that are simply out to make a fast buck at mine and your expense
should be looked upon more favorably for working out a solution to this
foreclosure problem.
I’m a disabled veteran between a rock and a hard place with
to many problems looming over the horizon.
Bottom line I need my home, but I need it at a monthly payment plan of
$700.00 to $800.00 dollars over the next ten years to pull myself out of this
mess. I have a guaranteed income for the
rest of my life from the United States Government. I’m not asking for a handout or free housing
just a hand up. Your loan modification
program reduced my payment of $1275.00 to $1250.00 and if that is all you can
do then, then I truly am beating a dead horse.
You say, sell it how? We owe more
then it is worth $160,000.00 on a home in this area that you would be lucky to
get $130,000.00 out of.
The problems that we live with on this property the utility
bills are double due to the floor plan no outside light in the home. The VA took me from an $82,500.00 home with
Handicapped Modifications $89,000.00 that helped put me in this mess. Yes I need to change several things in my
life, but moving out of this home is not one of them if you will expect a loss
from a new purchaser why won’t you work with me in the same manner the interest
is where the banks make the money any why.
Yes maybe this does sound like the ranting of a mad man but
what choice do I have it is me facing the wolf at the door. What and how I
protect my home is all I have left.
We all know that times are going to get a lot rougher,
before they get better.
Somebody has to hear this one voice………….
