Living In The Closet
I am literally living in a closet--at least, up until the temperatures warmed up a few weeks ago, I was sleeping on the floor in the closet with a portable heater for warmth. I have so few things to fill up the main room that I sublet, so I have put everything (save for my bed) in the walk-in closet. What's sad is that I'm on the verge of losing this I've been out of steady employment for almost two years (but NOT on unemployment or disability, as I still cling to some level of personal pride and determination), and find myself in a dire position. I have a B.A., six years of military experience, ten years of workplace experience, have never been in legal or financial trouble before, and have no addictions to contend with... a fat lot of good living a decent life has done me, at this point... For the record, I am not wasting any money on stupid things like illegal drugs (never did them), cigarettes or other smoking items, alcohol (don't drink), mall shopping, coffee or tea (don't like it, don't drink it), sit-down restaurants, valet parking, etc. Don't have a texting plan or an iPhone, either. I haven't been to a movie theater since last August or so, which is probably the one luxury that I miss the most.
