This iReport is part of an assignment:
Would you walk away? |
Walk in Our Shoes
The audacity of some Bank Employee to tell me my children
don’t need clothes or I shouldn’t allow them to play sports. The best one is my daughter who we sent to
+Sylvan learning center to help her read. +
Yes there are things that one can cut out of there budgets. There are
also things I won’t cut out, the needs of my family and things that benefit them. The nerve of these high and mighty Banks and
Loan Brokers to bait people with there Arm loans, No Interest loans with the
promises of refinancing in 2 years, when they have over inflated the appraisals made the loans and now the homes are not worth half what is owed on them so no one can refinance.
Then you use smoke and mirrors to convince the general
public, that we are the bad people that purchased out of our means. I read the comments that I should have done
this and I should have done that. Unless
you walk in my shoes don’t judge me, because the way things are going there are
a lot of people that are only one or two missed payments from walking in my
shoes right down that same road. I hope
and pray that it never happens to you. Point fingers and mock us that have lost our
homes, buy into the narrow minded blame game that some of the media propagates. The system is broken banks got bailed out;
Auto makers got bailed out, the people that are now falling behind in there
loan payments are getting help. I ask
again Mr. President, Members of Congress, Senators, and mostly who ever it is
in this country that controls the money and I mean controls. Who gets loans and
who does not. Stop judging us on our
past give us a clean slate, look at our income, what we have right now and
allow us affordable loans, with payments we can pay. Do you not realize we are going to be homeless
the wolf is at the door. Most of us can’t
even rent because renters look at your credit score. Do any of you realize just how fast your
credit score can drop in just 6 months?
I fly my flag upside down because this country is under sedge , we are
under attack, our homes, our lives our being stripped away from us, yes what
else do you call it when the banks fail to work with people and the law puts
you to the street. It is time for the
people to take back there government and truly make it for the people and by
the people, Not for the Greedy ruled by the greedy to line there pockets with
the peoples money. The question is not would I walk away, the question is most of us are so confined to our homes in rural america that our homes are our lives. We send our children to school, work in our communites, shop in our local stores, or at least we used to who knows where tomorrow will take us
+May the Lord Bless Us, Because our Blessed United States is in one heck of a mess +
