This iReport is part of an assignment:
Pawning off your prized possessions |
Pawning Prized Possessions
Getting ready to lighten my load and make some spare change by trying out eBay. Hopefully, the cameo will sell and then I'll hide my newly found profits in my "piggy bank" which is the only secure place I can think of at the moment.
This beautiful cameo conch shell is from Italy and one of my treasures that sits on my fireplace mantel. I was having a difficult time parting with it, so I took out my camera and snapped a few pictures for memorabilia sake.
Cameo conch's have been made since the 15th century, and I don't think they will stop making them anytime soon, as it's a beautiful art form. So the good news is, it can be replaced when the economy turns around.
