Would you walk away? |
What do You Think
<
What do you think when you see, the (For Sale by
Foreclosure) on the front of property?
Just another person that brought more home then they could
afford and one less person that I have to bail out with my hard earned
taxes. Maybe you’re the type of person
that see it as a sign of the times and have no feelings one way or the other as
long as it doesn’t affect me. You might
even be one of the lucky ones that look at it as an opportunity like they show
on the late night informericals “How to make It Rich on Foreclosed Property”. Just maybe you’re like me, or what I used to
be. I would see those signs and wonder,
what happened to the lives inside that house, where did they move to and what
was it like to lose your home, to have told your family and friends. To look into the eyes of your children and
tell them, we have to move. To be so
scared that you don’t know what to feel anymore. To walk around so numb that life stands
still. To look at the walls you once
called home, empty from pictures, boxes packed, a feeling that no one could
possibility understand, unless they lived it, the unanswered questions. Who could have helped me to stop this? What will we do now? Where will we live? How could this happen to me? Today that is me and all I want to tell you
all is for the grace of God goes I. The
thousands of homes that stand around this country are like the tomb stones that
stand in the cemetery each is a life lost, that can never be regained, broken
dreams that haunt those left behind. So
the next time you see that sign, in the front of a home don’t be so quick to
judge, don’t be so quick to brush it off.
It is not just a home that has been lost, but a life that has been lost,
or at the least changed in ways that can never be the same. Yes it is a sign of the times, forget the
reasons, forget the blame and just as you would pay honor to someone’s passing,
to there grief and pain so pay honor to those of us that have lost our homes,
that have lost our life’s as we knew them. Don’t pity us, but don’t condemn us,
but look at as people that are for the graces of God go I.
