    $10 Evening Gown

I shop the local Goodwill stores from time to time.  Every other Saturday, they have a 50% off sale.  EVERYTHING in the store is 50% off and there is a Black Friday like frenzy from the long lines before the store opens to the long lines at the checkout.  While, I've found many wonderful treasures at Goodwill, like designer handbags and new shirts with the tags still on, I thought I'd share my most recent purhcase.

My daughter plays piano.  She is in need of recital clothes.  Every year for the past 3 years her and her younger brother put on a full scale production to benefit a charity.  She always wears an evening gown and we rent little brother, the MC, a tux.  So, I was ecstatic to find this Adriana Papell gown waiting for me at Goodwill.  The dress retails for about $200 and it was marked $20.  But, being a 50% off day, I only paid $10 for this very classy gown.   My daughter is 5'10" tall and I figured the dress would be too short.  So, I checked the hem and I will be able to let it out.  Other than that, the dress fits perfectly and she will be absolutely STUNNING!

I have to say thanks to Kelsey for modeling the dress at 6 a.m. so I could write my iReport.  She wasn't real thrilled with the idea but she obliged her mother.
