I am a mom and a dad to my son, I work and spend time with
my son and do all what couples do. I know it’s not easy to that but I have done
it in 5 years of being a single mom. I
gave my son the love he need than some of the parents do. Just imagine work a
young man in the home and looking for all the attention from mom and dad, but I
do give that attention. I do have rules that I manage to have timeout without
him in the house where he will stay for 30min to 1 hr without getting on my
way. He does not have TV, Games and most of other things in his room that most moms
give their kids. I grow up with none of
those things but am still ok and am better than kids who had everything in life.
I learn to value life and things more, my parent give me knowledge than
material things. That’s what I’m giving my son.
I just wanted to share with you that charity begins at home,
(You have to teach your kids when they are younger that nobody will stop them
to be anything they what to be). I have trained my son, to be able to do
anything he wishes to do. I tell him no failure in his life; if he fails he has
to pick up himself. I teach him that nothing is impossible in his life as a
single mom I have many challenges but I put them behind me. I have goes in his
life he knows what is to be poor or rich. So all African Americans we need to
teach our kids the foundation of life. This video you will see, what I have
done is instead of him doing nothing, since is not going to school I traveled
with him to my business meeting and he was able to make video that shows that
he loves being around positive people. I think most parents should train their
kids at early age to be able to learn things outside school and books.
