This iReport is part of an assignment:
Something old, something new |
Old book turned clock
This was a gift for my boyfriend who loves to read and was inspired by an article I read that suggested to use old book covers as picture frames. I decided to jazz it up and make it a clock!
I found an old hardback book (I just happend to find this awesome copy of The Divine Comedy), bought a clock face and mechanism at Michael's, cut a hole in the book large enough and deep enough for the clock, and viola! The hardest part was cutting through the pages and my favorite part was using a wood burning tool to burn his initials onto the front and the inscription on the back. There's going to be a Part 2 to this project when I figure out something to do with all the little circles that have been cut out from this book!
