Have You Ever Lost A Loved One To Cancer?

Losing a loved one, especially a little sister to cancer is the hardest thing one can go through.

My little sister "Karlita" was diagnosed with a brain tumor that later turned to cancer before she was 4 years old.

For nearly 5 years my little sister lived in and out of the hospital and yet through it all, she always smiled and told me not to cry because she was ok.

One of the many memories I have of my sister is when i'd come home from elementary school, and she'd be playing with a small furry toy in the stairs of our apartment. She'd be alone because the other little girls would be in school.

She was such a precious little girl to me. I remember when I was 13 years old and I was in a boxing tourneyment and she was next to my mom and had this huge smile on her face. She was my little cheerleader and was always cheering me on even when i'd lose.

I remember she'd always sing the song "Yes Jesus Loves Me"  and eventually got some of her friends to sing it with her.

There are too many memories for me of my sister and I just pray to see her one day. She was the most important part of my life....

This pic of my sister and me was taken in May of 1985. She passed away 2 months later on July 17th...
