Possible Major Snow Storm to Hammer Colorado, Wyoming, and western Dakotas and Nebraska
The Swinden Group is advising their clients of an early spring storm that may heavily impact Colorado through western Dakotas with heavy snow, high wind, and blizzard conditions Monday and Tuesday
Evergreen, CO, March 22, 2009 – The Swinden Group, through their Severe Weather Advisories, is advising their clients of the developing major snow storm moving out of the California and strengthening in the Great Basis as it tracks towards the Dakotas and Canada late Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. The main threat of this storm will be heavy snows of up to 16 to 20 inches, high winds causing blizzard or near blizzard conditions and blowing and drifting snow, widespread travel delays for both on the ground and in the air with major road and highway closures, hazardous / dangerous driving conditions, school and business closures, and the possibility of widespread power outages.
The National Weather Service has issued a number Blizzard Warnings and Watches, Winter Storm Watches and Warnings to include the mountains of Colorado, most of central and eastern Wyoming, western Nebraska, and western North and South Dakotas through Tuesday morning.
“This has the potential of being a high impact snow storm on par with the major blizzard that battered the Dakotas earlier this month,” explains Matthew Swinden, President of the Swinden Group. “The area with the greatest impact of blizzard or near blizzard conditions will be eastern Wyoming, western Dakotas and western Nebraska. We have been advising our clients of this event since Friday in order for them to be prepared for a high impact snow storm that will undoubtedly affect businesses, schools, and travel throughout the region Monday and Tuesday.”
