Job hunt stories |
Old Lady Lands Job
At age 67, having been laid off 9/2008, I got job in a company that WANTS to hire older workers. I will be working from home (not in my nightgown, please) contacting businesses to inform them that our company offers free seminars for employees with children (sophomore through senior years in high school) looking for colleges and univerities and who seek to get the lowest tuition cost available. Sales people in our company then take it from there. I'm the front door so to speak (not the door mat, please).
This company shows parents how to negotiate with PRIVATE colleges and universities for the lowest tuition. The comany specializes in knowing the lowest tuition colleges/universities will accept.
I will not be signing off either as an iReporter or as someone talking about jobs. Follow my progress at this company; follow my thoughts on the important issues of the day based on information gathering.
Thanks for all of the suppor you have given me in my job search. It helped.
