    Child Molester Arrested in Waynesville, NC

    Robert Carl Duke Jr. of Waynesville, NC was arrested on May 15, 2008 by the police. Reportedly, someone close to him was sent into the house wearing a wire and obtained a full confession from him that he molested his grandchildren (three girls and a niece). It has been reported that he has previously molested other children in Florida, North Carolina, and possibly Virginia and has been molesting children and young teensfor 40+ years. Because of the threats of violence he made against his victims they were reluctant to have him prosecuted. He also has an arrest record for theft, drugs (crack cocaine and such), and an escape from prison. He iscurrently being held in Mission Hospital in Asheville because his arrest caused a sudden rise in his blood pressure. He has been residing with his father, Robert Carl Duke Sr., until his arrest on May 15, 2008. Making this public knowledge is crucial in the event that they release him on bail so that people in the surrounding areas will know to watch their children a lot more closely. Robert Carl Duke, Jr. reportedly has an extensive criminal history and has served time in prison in Florida which during one time which he escaped. He has had a couple of encounters with SWAT teams in the state of Florida as a result of his criminal activities. His brother, Ivey Duke of Intercession City, Florida and his father Robert Carl Duke, Sr. have abetted him on several occasions in an effort to evade authorities by providing him with a way to the Dominican Republic for several years alloting him allowance for food and necessities. He has been back in the states for nearly a decade and has continued his pattern of molestation of children.
