You used the analogy of being on an ocean liner referring to the turnaround of this economy, not a speed boat. Well Mr. President, AIG, the BANKS, the subprime and adjustable rate victims, Wall Street, education, energy, healthcare all seem to be onboard that ocean liner. However, YOU HAVE NOT TAKEN NOTICE OF THE HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF THOSE WHO WERE RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS, LOST THEIR JOBS OVER A YEAR AGO AND NOW ARE IN FORECLOSURE THAT WERE THROWN OVER BOARD!  WE HAVE NO LIFE JACKETS ON NOW.  WE DID, BUT THEY DEFLATED BY US TRYING TO STAY AFLOAT BY BEING RESPONSIBLE AMERICANS - FIGHTING THIS BATTLE ALONE WITH NO ASSISTANCE, USING ALL ASSETS! WE DID NOT TAKE A MORTGAGE OUT MORE THAN WE COULD AFFORD, WE DO NOT HAVE AN ADJUSTABLE RATE LOAN, BUT LOST OUR JOBS A YEAR AGO AND YOU'RE MOVING SLOWLY FOREWORD WITHOUT US! PLEASE, BEFORE YOU MOVE, SEE THOSE OF US THAT ARE DROWNING! AMERICAN CITIZENS THAT HAVE DONE MOSTLY EVERYTHING RIGHT, FOUGHT FOR OUR COUNTRY AND ARE NOW THE FORGOTTEN PEOPLE!  You, sir, are now at the helm!

President Obama you told us, "We'll recover from this recession, but it will take time, it will take patience, and it will take an understanding that, when we all work together, when each of us looks beyond our own short-term interest to the wider set of obligations we have towards each other, that's when we succeed." Sorry, Mr. President, when you lost your job over a year ago used every asset you had and are over 55 and now face foreclosure on your home of 30 years we do NOT have the TIME or the PATIENCE!

You told us to GIVE to others. My family has. My son is a recent OIF and OEF veteran, and I founded a non-profit for Marines, Sailors and their families back in 2006. I do not take one cent from my organization that has raised over $600,000.00 in products and monetary donations! It is all about of young men and woman in uniform to me.  If I lose my home, the reality is I won’t be able to continue with my non-profit and that hurts me almost as much as the fear of losing our home.

This is now in YOUR hands! Yes, the past 4 years have been very bad, and you were handed a plate overflowing. Nevertheless, it is YOU that now focuses on the bailouts of BANKS, sub-prime and adjustable rate victims and you're forgetting about US! All these new plans and policies are on your watch, sir! Who can my family and others like us look up to for HOPE and CHANGE if you’re not looking down in the waters as your ocean liner pulls away slowly?

I feel seeing you on TV once and twice a week is like seeing an actor who has a new movie coming out or an author that has a book to sell.  Please stay in DC and work with Congress. We elected them to represent US. Sell your program AND BUDGET to them. They have hopefully heard our voices. Congress: WAKE UP! Stop thinking of your private interest! WE VOTED YOU IN TO REPRESENT US, AND WORK OUT A PLAN. WHETHER YOU ARE LEFT OT RIGHT, THE TIME HAS COME FOR YOU TO DO YOUR JOBS FOR US AND WORK AS A TEAM!
