This iReport is part of an assignment:
Flooding in the Great Plains |
Water levels and Sandbagging south of Fargo
The water level is up to 39' now so I need to make this short as I am running out the door to continue sandbagging.
These pictures and video are from yesterday around noon in the area south of Fargo around 90th Ave South at Cossette Drive. This is the location where the Wild Rice River meets the Red River.
The house is at a coworkers place, we all work at Microsoft. Everyone at work has been pulling together well and helping each other out. Microsoft has given us at least 2 days of paid time off to sandbag (awesome of them!), so not many people have been at work.
The pictures and video show how inundated the fields and yards are with water. As you can see by the video, several roads are starting to get overrun by flood waters.
