Passions over health care reform |
Healthcare Resolution
I would think that 90% of what we all walk into a hospital for could be covered in one comprehensive plan. Put the other 10% to the side. The diseases that only 8 people have and it costs 100K a day to keep them alive. Those kind of ailments need to be put to the side and have a separate formula for how to handle "all" of those items. But 90% of what we all walk into a hospital should easily be covered by the amount of money we all spend in taxes. Stiches, headaches, scrapes, colds, heart surgery, broken legs, rashes, all of that and more are issues that have standard remedies. Those we should be able to cover. Let's start somewhere. As they say, how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. All I remember is Hillary saying, "It can't be done" back in the 90's. That's because she was told to fix the whole system. That, I'm sure, can't be done. But there has to be a starting point. Can we just start with stiches first?
