    Denver Urban Garden

Denver, CO -- As homage to NASA, my Urban Garden has mission patches like those that affix the flight suits of astronauts. This is the third year of my gardening adventures. A gallery of mission patches: http://www.flickr.com/photos/flight0001/sets/72157603792535847/ A gallery of my GX-1134 Urban Garden: http://www.flickr.com/photos/flight0001/sets/72157603881990127/ My posse of slave labor came over Sunday for planting. Before any plants were put into the ground, a minimum of 2 hours of weed pulling was required. The price we pay for fresh veggies... Vegetables shall be: Edamame, cucumbers, okra, celery, yellow squash, zucchini, carrots, green beans, pie pumpkins, potatoes, garlic, radishes, celebrity tomatoes, super fantastic tomatoes, red peppers, green peppers, orange peppers, cayenne peppers, Serrano peppers, habanero peppers, jalapeno peppers, saffron and a myriad of herbs like dill and rosemary and sage and basil including space basil. And sunflowers were planted. And more flowers in general were planted. The GX-1134 garden is 4 times bigger than last year - and no massive pumpkins to hog up precious space. It's better than the farmer's market!!!!!
