Red Cross: Stories of suffering and survival |
Red Cross trained lifeguard saves life
Because of Red Cross health and safety courses a little girls life was saved. This post is of a former employee of mine who saved a six year old girl from drowning in a pool. Lindsey Fletcher of Waterville, Vermont works as a Red Cross trained lifeguard at Smugglers Notch Resort in Vermont. She was awarded the National Lifesaving Award of Merit. Vermont Governor Jim Douglas presented her with this award. I am so proud of her that I nominated her as a CNN heroe. I hope CNN recognizes her as the heroe that she is for saving a six year old girls life.
