This iReport is part of an assignment:
My secret health condition |
Blurred Vision: Use Drops Not Glue
Paula Griffin learned the hard way. She had blurred vision and reached for her drops. Instead she mistakenly picked up a hazardous substance (nail fixer glue).
Her eyes were glued shut for eight hours. Eye specialists at Bournemouth Hospital in Dorset (England) cut off her lashes to pry them open again and warned her she could lose her sight.
She now has a cut across her eyeball and now wears false eyelashes. Wow, be careful everyone when dealing with your eyes. I have forgotten to wash my hands after using cleaning products and have wiped my eyes. And it burns!
Be cautious. Be safe. Take care--
