Time for gun control? |
Guns Kill People - Just not as many as you might think.
If guns kill people, I can blame misspelled words on my pencil. Funny, but factual. Blame the person, not the device.
When was the last time someone thanked a scalpel when a surgeon saved their loved one's life? Has anyone ever applauded the bat after a 4 run walk off grand slam?
No. The reason, the device isn't the perpetrator of the act. The person is. Stop letting criminals out of jail. Stop taking 25 years to execute murderers. Make it a simple process, if you kill someone, you die.
Even this wont eliminate violence, but it will give the innocent a fighting chance.
Does reducing the number of guns on the streets make the streets safer? No. Would reducing the number of criminals on the streets make the streets safe? Um Yeah!
In the UK, the number of gun related deaths was extremely low last year because of strict gun laws. So I guess that means by outlawing guns they lowered violent crime.
No, it means the criminals were forced to start using knives. And since violent crime is now on the rise they are calling for the knives to be outlawed. Next they will outlaw sticks followed quickly by rocks.
We practically encourage criminality and removing guns from law abiding people makes them less safe. In an unarmed society criminals do whatever they like. Never forget New Orleans after Katrina.
It all comes back to responsibility. No one is accountable for their actions. Parents are not allowed to raise their children to be upstanding citizens if they have to, GASP!, spank them.
They are forced by the courts to coddle them and make sure they don't do anything that hurts their self esteem. Put them on time out, talk to them, let them know they are special and be anything they want. Do anything but hold them accountable.
In Real Life, nothing worthwhile is obtained without hard work. You want to be special? Work your butt off and you will be special because today's society, in the US, pays people to be lazy and good for nothing.
And what have we gotten in return for all of this Dr. Spock balderdash?
We have an entire generation of people that believe they are responsible to no one. This generation literally has been brainwashed into believing everything they do is the fault of someone else. Probably the evil rich people.
So, when real life steps in, and they find they are responsible, they do the only thing they can. The steal a gun and shoot someone while trying to rob somebody.
Then they spend 25 years on death row and the same people that are calling for guns to be taken from law abiding citizens carry signs outside the prison with 'Save Murderous Dirtbag', because they are good people and good people hate killing.
That group never thinks of the innocents that have died. They aren't interested in good people being able to protect themselves.
If the teachers in VT had been armed, the event NEVER happens. It doesn't go down. Every person there is alive today. The fact that those teachers were forced to submit to laws aimed at protecting criminals is the reason those kids are dead today.
You cannot possibly say that having those teachers unarmed protects the students.
It is undeniable. 100 armed teachers + 1 idiot gunman with two hand guns = 1 dead idiot.
Fact, criminals are lazy and when they want to commit crimes, they go where the people are least likely to be able to protect themselves.
Yes I am saying it. People who politic for taking guns away from law abiding people are personally responsible for the deaths of innocents.
The people who faught for laws forcing teachers to leave their guns at home are personally responsible for every child or college student that has died in the classroom.
The real problem started when the US Government started paying people not to work. This created generations of people with an entitlement mind set.
They believe they are entitled to whatever they want without lifting a finger to get it. Given that they have never worked or earned anything they have, nothing in life has any real value.
This includes people.
This mind set makes it very easy to pick up a "weapon" and use it against someone who has something you want. It's not a person, it's someone keeping you from having what is rightfully yours.
Well guess what; I work very hard for everything I own. I am a father of 4 honor students, a good husband, very active in my community and a gun owner. If you want what I have, take it, I'll never place a material item above a human life.
If you try to hurt my family, I will kill you without blinking an eye. I will hate that I had to kill you and inside, some important part of me will die right along with you.
How can I be so cold?
Because I refuse to stand next to a grave while they lower my child into the ground saying, "man, I wish I'd had a gun."
