This iReport is part of an assignment:
Staying connected while on the road |
Staying in Touch
The last four or five years on the road spent day in and day out in all kinds of weather, truck stops loading docks recievers, afforded a lot of down time so I would have my laptop with me to stay connected while I was on the road. Sure beats the driver's lounge in a lot of truckstops that sometimes it was unbearable. For me, sitting in the cab of my truck onlinne, checking emails, blogs, CNN News, or playing online games such as World of Warcraft or being in virtual worlds such as Second Life. A lot of times I had broadband connections through Verizon or a vendor in some of the truckstops, other times through a wifi connection that would be close by. So I kept in touch with family and friends while on the road that way. The pictures I been using are taken in a bus station while I was waiting on my bus trip and I was using Verizon at the time. Sooooooooooo...keeping in touch, no matter where, no matter the hour, I was always a phone call or mouse click away.
