YOU are in control....remeber this....
Social media has clearly exploded in the last year. Without a question the technology is BEYOND societies mass understanding of how to fully harness its power.
Everyone has an opinion as to is this good or bad? Noone mentions the point that the idiosyncricies and nusences are in YOUR control.
If you let these "tool" overwhelm you, they WILL. The point of social media is to connect with the world, segment and disect your needs, and capitalize by matching the value/solution to goals you have.
Even if your only goal is to connect and communicate with your network/world, you have to find fine balance with the extreme connectedness we have in our world as well as the "human" skills of the past that was 100% of the way we communicated. (So phone, in-person etc.)
Balance, again is key. Knowing how to UNPLUG is equally important as knowing WHAT to do WHILE plugged in.
