Needham Height, MA Decorated for the Centennial 1911

I have collected postcards for many years.  Postcards provide the history of our community. I mainly collect postcards related to the towns that I have lived in. <p>  I have enclosed a "real photo" postcard.   Real photos were taken by local photographers, so citizens could mail a little bit of their hometown to their relatives.

This postcard is of the Main Street in Needham Heights, MA.  The rear of the postcard states, "Dear Cousin Alice, this is our main street which  was decorated for our centennial celebration.  X designates the street that crosses the main street. Received your letter and am going to write in a day or two, in fact I started last Sunday. Lucy"  Addressed to Miss Alice Cushing, Townsend Vermont.  Postmark of Needham Heights, MA October 25, 1911. I love this postcard because Needham Heights (my former hometown) almost looks the same.  I wish our communities would decorate like this on our patriotic holidays.
